Driver's age

Drivers licence

A valid driving licence held for at least one year is required.
Driving licences issued in any country-member of the European Union are acceptable.
Driving licences issued in countries not members of the European Union have to be accompanied by a valid International Driver’s Permit (IDP).
An A2 valid driving licence is required to rent a motorbike.Driver age must be at least 22 years old and have at least one year their driving licence.

Minimum rental period

a. The minimum rental period is 24 hours.
Every hour in excess is estimated at 1/5 of the daily rate. For over three (3) hours in excess, the renter is charged with  an additional current daily rate.

Fuel

The Renter is obliged to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as it had when collected. In the case of returning the vehicle with less fuel, the renter will be charged with the fuel difference. No refunds are issued for vehicles returned with more fuel than when collected.

Traffic fines

Tickets and attached administrative sanctions resulting from  any violation of the Greek Traffic Law during the rental period are solely the renter's  responsibility.

Additional driver charge

Every additional is charged 3 euro per day for the first 7 days.

Baby seats:

Available upon request (for children up to 3 years old), The baby seats are charged 3 € per day.

Booster seats

The boosters are charged 2 € per day.

Taxes

All rates include 24% V.A.T. And local taxes.

Mileage  restrictions

There are no mileage restrictions.

Delivery /Collection

Free delivery and collection at the airport and in radius of  10 km.

Insurance Covers:

• For death or injury to third parties up to 500.000 euro.
• For material damage to third parties up to 100.000 euro
• C.D.W (Collision Damage Waver): the renter is responsible for the damage to his car from 700 euro up to a maximum of 1.200 euro depending on the group.  These terms apply provided the damage is not due to violations of the Greek Traffic Law. 
• Tyre Insurance: Punctured or unrepaired tyres will be replaced free of charge on all vehicles. (the tyre insurance does not apply if the vehicle is driven with a flat tyre).
• F. C. D. W. (Full Collision Damage Waver ): this extra insurance eliminates the excess mentioned in the paragraph above.  This is provided at an extra cost of 10 euro per day for all groups and 20 euro for the mini buses applies only if there has not been a violation of the Greek Traffic Law. This cover does not apply for the vintage cars apart from the Suzuki Samurai.

Insurance is not valid and the renter is responsible for damages when:

• The driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• The car is driven on non-paved roads (except of the 4X4 vehicles)
• The car is driven with a flat tyre
• The driver exceeds the speed limit
• The driver does not use the fuel recommended
• The car is driven by non-authorized persons
• The driver does not return the car on the date and time agreed by the rental lease


Motorbike insurance cover:

The prices include simple liability insurance. The renter is responsible for any damage or theft (partial or total) caused to the rented motorcycle up to the amount of its commercial value at the time of the accident or theft. The tenant paid the amount corresponding to the motorcycle of Auto Rentals Kefalonia damage regardless of fault and the amount paid is refunded when and as long as the Auto Rentals Kefalonia compensated.

Luggage

All luggage is placed in the car by the renter and the company has no responsibility if does not fit in the trunk. The company is not responsible for the personal items of the driver and the passenger.

Motorbike accessories

Our company provides you free of charge helmets. Please note in case of helmet loss the cost is 60.00 euro per helmet.

Ferry transportation

An advance authorization is required.

Payment methods:

Both cash and credit cards are accepted. The estimated total cost of the car hire is payable at the beggining of the rental.

Reservations/cancelations/availability:

No deposit is required for booking a car. An email will be sent to you after you decide to make a reservation. Auto Rentals Kefalonia has the right to change the car model to an equivalent or to an upgraded model in case the selected model is not available. No credit card is required for bookings.
There is no charge in case of cancelation.

Driver's licence, credit card and passport will be needed at the delivery of the car. All the above should bear the driver's name.For non E.U. citizens I.D.L (International driving licence) will be needed.
